🔗 Share this article Vinted Shoppers Express Displeasure About Sizing Changes Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing. The popular resale platform has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes but did not contact every member regarding the update. Social Media Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification than originally posted due to the recalibration. The company said the revised method more closely matches other platforms. They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Updates Earlier, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Shopper Stories Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she stated. Required Changes A different user, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she explained. Service Background The platform boasts over 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members. It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This is not the initial instance where an unanticipated change on the platform has faced criticism: last year, the service retracted a modification to its shipping options after backlash from users.
